The San Juan Mountains in Colorado viewed from Dallas Divide (just outside of Telluride along the San Juan Skyway) are magnificent and are one of the most recognizable scenes in Colorado. The aspens in the region are always spectacular; the color intensity of the scrub oak varies from year to year. This year, the deep reds of the scrub combined with a multitude of aspens colors to present a spectacular pallet of fall brilliance. Remnants of an early September snowstorm crowned the peaks of the Sneffels Range. taken 9/03
