Berry Bear
Denali National Park , Alaska - Edition of 500 Grizzly bears feed nearly constantly during the short Alaskan autumn to ensure they have adequate fat levels to survive the long, cold winter. For bears in the interior of Alaska, berries are a key component of their diet as they will often eat tens of thousands blueberries per day. This young grizzly momentarily looked up during a feast in the brilliant colors of blueberries and willows that blanket the Denali landscape. taken 9/06
