near Telluride, Colorado - Edition of 500
One of my favorite things about autumn in the Rockies is that the season is slightly different every year. Seasonal temperatures along with rainfall timing and amount combine influence the changing of the colors....and result in variations in the brilliance and timing of the aspen colors. I watch this stand every year; in 2003 their orange coloration, accented by the rising sun, created a signature image of the brilliant Colorado aspens. taken 9/03
