Kenai Peninsula, Alaska - Edition of 500 During winter, some bald eagles migrate south in search of food while others congregate around the few winter food sources. This picture was taken on the Kenai Peninsula during one of these winter gatherings. A snowstorm cleared and gave way to the rich blue sky….evidence of the passing storm can been seen in the small water droplet caught near the top of this eagle’s powerful beak. taken 3/01
