If you spend enough time in nature, you're bound to see some amazing things....especially if you make the effort to get off the beaten path. One cold, clear morning while snowshoeing along the Snake River, I rounded a bend in the river to discover Eden. A small bull moose grazed on river vegetation. In the background, a family of trumpeter swans relished the ice-free and calm water of the Snake. The rarest sight, a pair of river otters played as they moved up river.....in this image, one is on the bank while the other floats in the river to the right of the moose. taken 12/02
