Wolves run nearly silently thru the forests of the Rocky Mountains in search of food. In watching this one year old male from the Bow Valley Wolf Pack in Alberta, it was clear that he moves like a shadow in the forest. His black body blends perfectly into the dark forests.....at times the only sign if his presence is the powerful and beautiful gaze of his yellow eyes. Encounters such as this with wild wolves are extremely rare; my hope is that you find a true sense of wilderness in this image. taken 1/03
