Glacier Explorer
Katmai National Park, Alaska - Edition of 250 Glaciers and salmon provide the lifeblood for coastal Alaska. Glaciers carve the landscape and feed water to the rivers. Salmon spawn in the rivers and provide food for the entire ecosystem; brown bears then search the rivers for migrating salmon. Taking part in this timeless cycle, a lone brown bear stirs up a school of chum salmon as a majestic, glacier covered peak towers over the landscape. taken 8/09
