Great Horned Owl
near Jackson, Wyoming - Edition of 500 Although its unusual to see owls in the middle of the day, every once and a while a great feeding opportunity will drive them to hunt by day. This own found a partially consumed fish (barely visible in its talons) in a small island in a spring creek. The sunlight, snow, and downy appearance of the owl made for a unique and beautiful winter scene. taken 2/02
