While Africa is well known for its 'Big 5,' the bird life diversity and quantity shouldn't be overlooked.  One of the most colorful is the lilac breasted roller.  The name 'roller' comes from an acrobatic display the males perform.  Sunlit against a clear blue sky, this roller exemplifies the beauty of African birds.   taken 6/06
