Lost Horse Mill
White River National Forest, Colorado - Edition of 500
An icon of Colorado's mining history, the Lost Horse Mill was constructed in 1893 and was in operation until 1917. It used hydro power to generate compressed air for nearby mining operations. Today, the mill and remnants of nearby buildings remain among the brilliant fall-colored aspens. taken 9/08
