Denali National Park, Alaska - Edition of 95 Moose are the largest members of the deer family and the mature Alaskan bull moose is a majestic sight to behold. They stand over 6 feet tall at the shoulder and can weigh more than 1500 pounds. Each year, the bulls grow antlers in an attempt to dominate other bulls and gather harems. The largest bulls in the prime of life rule the autumn landscape as they prepare for the rut. This amazing animal was photographed in the soft light of the setting sun as he foraged on the tundra vegetation. taken 8/10
