Tundra Rainbows
Denali National Park, Alaska - Edition of 95 Changing weather is a common element of the northern wilderness, especially as fall begins to fade into winter. In a landscape dominated by glaciers, willows, alders, mountains, and a few larger trees, the autumn colors are brief and brilliant. A heavy rainstorm moved down the valley and displaced the afternoon sun. In the process, a beautiful double–rainbow appeared. The contrasts of colors, landscapes, and weather were awe inspiring. taken 8/10
