Image Information
Edition Size This refers to the total number of images that will be printed (includes all sizes). Once the edition is sold out, the image will never again be printed as a photograph or any other commercially available media. Additionally, we do not print artist’s proofs which gives complete integrity to the limited edition.
Silver & Gold Images Once an image edition is 50% sold out, it becomes a Silver Image. The unframed image price for Silver Images increases by about 25% over standard images. Once the edition becomes 75% sold out, the image becomes a Gold Image and the unframed price increases by about 50% over standard image prices.
Limited Edition Giclees Giclee is simply the term for reproducing artwork onto traditional art media. Tony’s giclees are photographs printed on either canvas or watercolor paper. He believes the color richness, sharpness, and tonality of the giclee print far surpass traditional silver-halide photographs. Giclees are color fast for 100-200 years when displayed properly and have a hand-applied protective coating which also provides UV protection. This coating eliminates the need for glass which results in a superior and reflection-free viewing experience.
The canvas giclee has the feel of traditional art. The subtle texture of the canvas can bring images to life and add a three dimensional feel. This is especially true for aspen trees and animal images with rich details and textures. Canvas giclees have a ‘softer’ feel than watercolor paper images.
Printed on a smooth watercolor paper, the sharpness and tonality of these giclees are excellent. Bright, vivid scenes and images with fine details look fantastic on watercolor paper. These images are mounted on aluminum to maximize the smoothness of the final image.
