Beavers are one of the only animals (aside from humans) who are able to modify their environment. Their usual tactics are to damn streams and build lodges in the resulting ponds. The beavers are extremely adaptable and resourceful. In this image, they have cut out a few trees which lay across their pond. The pond creates a perfect reflection of the golden aspen grove that towers above this mountain home.
