As winter approaches, they fortify their lodges and fill them with food to survive the winter. The cool autumn nights bring a fresh coat of frost over the landscape. Light snow on the high peaks, vibrant autumn colors and a near-perfect reflection provide this beaver family with one of the most beautiful vistas in the Rockies.
