The canyons of the Colorado Plateau are simply breathtaking. Wind and water have sculpted amazing patterns throughout the rocks of the American Southwest. This beautiful area in Zion showcases a nearly 15 feet tall tunnel through the sandstone with only a narrow opening to the sky above. Sunlight reflects from nearby cliff faces to illuminate this otherwise dark canyon.  Water continues to shape the canyon as it cascades over the rocks and into deep pools filled with sand. The first maple leaves of fall make their way into the stream and are carried along by cool water.
