The rainy season brings abundant grasses and a renewed sense of life to the Serengeti. Morning fog and clouds are common as overnight rains give way to the rising sun. Acacia trees, shaped over time by browsing elephants and giraffes, cast intricate silhouettes across the plains. The Serengeti ecosystem, located in Tanzania, extends into the Masai Mara in Kenya — marked here by the buttes visible in the distance. The intense colors of the sunrise are fleeting, but the memory of them will last for years.
