Autumn snow storms have the potential to provide amazingly interesting and beautiful scenes. Conversely, strong winds can pull leaves from the aspen trees and bring an abrupt end to the fall colors. In this instance, a heavy snow was accompanied by strong winds. The horizontal snow stuck to the tree trunks and carpeted the forest floor. As the clouds passed, the wind continued to blow, bringing down more leaves. The sun finally emerged to create long shadows and illuminate the forest.
